Camera Hot-Shoe Caps and Sights

This collection of objects is designed for mounting in a camera's hot-shoe. It is optimized for Lumix G series cameras that use a small latching foot at the front to retain the hotshoe cap, but it should work with all cameras if this foot is removed. A simple notch sight can be created to assist in aiming, and it also caps the hot-shoe. Originally, an exact replacement for the OEM cap was made, but why use that when a V sight is more useful? The Picatinny version allows the use of Picatinny rail compatible accessories such as Red-Dot sights. To secure this attachment, two "Wedge" pieces and a M2x20 socket head screw along with an M2 nut are required. When tightened, it is very secure, and the 1.5mm hex wrench can be stored inside the object. The modified rail has trapezoidal recoil slots that enable printing vertically without supports (at 0.1mm or less) while still accommodating all common Picatinny rail mount sights, which typically use a 4mm bolt in those slots. A Red dot sight is pictured, and it seemed lighter than some others, but maybe more prone to snagging. It was found that tracking fast-moving ducks in flight with this sight was quite easy compared to the 800mm equivalent view through the lens. If the latching foot is not desired, it can be easily clipped off.
