Camera hot shoe adapter base / cover

This is intended to be used as a base for building something else to mount on a camera hot shoe. As is, it serves as a hot shoe cover (which comes with the camera but is among the first things lost because the part is so small). The front end of the adapter base is beveled for easier insertion. Printing at 0.25mm layer height makes all the heights in the design accurate, resulting in a snug fit even without the friction clips on the sides. The dimensions are based on my measurements taken from a Nikon D5100 DSLR camera. The OpenSCAD model creates a mount with the 12mm wide x 16.4mm long pedestal centered at [0,0,0], on which you can design something to mount on it using OpenSCAD. I plan to use this as the base for a flashlight mount. The pedestal is adjustable in height with one parameter.
