Camera holder for microscope ocular photography

Cameras for microscopes can be quite pricey, along with their mounts. I tried using the specific camera mount on my microscope but found that the illuminated area was far too small to capture an image. To make it work, I would need an additional lens, which wasn't feasible at the moment. So, I decided to use the ocular, which already comes equipped with a lens. It's technically possible to do it manually, but there's a risk that the camera lens might come into contact with the microscope, potentially causing damage in the long run. After printing out my design, I realized I had made a crucial mistake - I forgot to leave enough space for the strap mounts on the side of the camera body. To fix this, I carefully removed some material from the sides. I also discovered that I had overlooked the image button on the camera, so I cut a small hole into the top part. To get a clear shot, I needed to tilt the camera slightly, but once I got it adjusted, taking images became much more reliable. It's worth noting that not all compact cameras will fit snugly in the mount, so be sure to check compatibility before proceeding (Sony RX100 model, for example). The scad file seems to have been rendered strangely on the site. This image you see is of a single dust particle at 600 magnification.
