Camera Holder

I've been utilizing Octoprint alongside webcams on two of my printers but have grown tired of the conventional methods for securing the camera - duck tape, elastic bands, and cardboard boxes just aren't cutting it anymore. Additionally, it's a nuisance to have to remove the camera from its stationary position in order to take prints off or perform routine maintenance. A better solution would be one that allows me to easily move the camera out of the way and then return it to its original location. To address these issues, I've employed magnets to hold both the camera and arm in place. With just a simple nudge, I can slide them aside and continue with my work or maintenance tasks without interruption. Moreover, an additional set of magnets allows me to secure the camera further away from its primary position - a definite plus when dealing with delicate components. Since the STL files that are being provided were specifically designed for use with Logitech Pro 9000 and C270 webcams, as well as Prusa 1 and Rostock printers, this build is less of a finished product and more of a base template. As such, you'll need to adjust and customize the parts in order to make them compatible with your own equipment. Now that we've covered the basics, let's move on to what materials you'll require for this project: - Two M8 x 65mm bolts (13mm hex head) - Two M8 nuts (13mm hex) - Four magnets measuring 10mm in diameter and 2mm in thickness - Ground steel shafts measuring 8mm in diameter with variable length Finally, for the C270 camera holder: - One M5 x 20mm hex head screw - One M5 nut To ensure smooth operation and prevent any issues during assembly, it's essential to include the following print settings in your workflow. Printer: Other Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30%
