Camera Grip

A redesign of my original grip that had a steel threaded bolt connecting the handle to the baseplate.

Now all one piece, it's just as strong and much lighter.

The .3mf file (from PrusaSlicer) includes the infill and pause layers. Infill is 100% for the base and 20% for the handle (which has a perimeters set to 4). When it pauses, drop in a ¼" UNC nut for a tripod quick-release plate.

Note that the .3mf file is scaled to 100.5% to allow for PETG shrinkage. You might need to adjust this for a different material.

The UNC camera screw will self-cut through the hole and not drop out.

The little rubber sheet is from a bicycle inner tube with the hole cut out using a standard paper punch. Use superglue (CA) to stick the rubber sheet to the base.

MATERIAL:

Prusa Recycled PETG (great stuff)

SETTINGS:

Scale: 100.5% (x, y and z)
Layer height: 0.3mm
Infill: 100% from 0 to 12.6mm
20% from 12.6mm to top
Rectilinear infill
Skirt & brim: None
Supports under the tripod screw
Pause ("M601") at layer 60

HARDWARE:

1 x ¼" UNC nut
1 x standard UNC camera screw
Inner bicycle tube rubber

Regards, Paul
