Instead of purchasing a counterweight for $10 to $20 on a site like B&H, I chose to use a 1/4x20 screw and ten washers from Home Depot. It worked effectively but lacked a professional appearance. To improve the look, I created an enclosure that securely holds the washers in place. Supplies: Ten 1/4 inch by 1-1/4 inch fender washers (available at AJC Home Depot) One quarter inch by twenty one inch round head screw
