Simple Camera Gimbal for Timelapse and Stop Motion Photography Take control of your camera movements with this precise gimbal system, perfect for timelapse and stop motion photography or motion control. Accurately position your camera in two axes or move through a pre-programmed sequence with ease. Home switches ensure repeatable positioning even after power loss, giving you peace of mind when working on complex projects. The system is designed to work seamlessly with a variety of cameras, including the Nikon D3400 and Canon 70D. Gimbal Video Check out this video showcasing the gimbal in action: [insert link] Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer Model: Ultimaker Original Raft Support: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15mm Infill Percentage: 10-20% Filament Type: PLA Notes Most parts can be printed without supports, except for the cable junction and motor mount A. Some larger parts may benefit from a small brim, depending on your print setup. I recommend printing most structural parts with a wall thickness of 2mm and 1mm top/bottom to achieve the desired rigidity. This can be adjusted based on your requirements and application. Assembly Use a high-quality epoxy to join parts printed in multiple sections. Consider leaving one or both arms unglued for easier assembly. The small pinion gears work but may not last long, especially with PLA filament. Consider upgrading to metal versions for added durability. Additional Components Needed * 4x 6000 Series deep groove ball bearings (OD 26mm ID 10mm Depth 8mm) * 2x Nema17 stepper motors (mine are 17HS8401, 1.8A) * 1x 10mm aluminium tube or similar metal shaft * 2x proximity sensors M12 (optional) Let me know if you have any other questions or need further clarification. This gimbal is designed to fit my Nikon D3400 with cables sticking out. I'm not sure what other camera models will fit, but feel free to share your experience and let me know if it works for you!
