The device enables the attachment of filters or accessories in front of the Canon SX50-HS camera lens. The super-zoom camera has an uncommon lens size, and standard adapters are not suitable. However, users can modify the Openscad file to accommodate other camera sizes. The adapter features two small side tabs that connect to the sides of the lens at a 90-degree angle. This device works effectively in attaching a small sheet of black polymer solar filter in front of the camera to capture images of the sun, such as one with a dark solar spot on the top-right corner visible in the provided image. An extension includes adapters for standard glass filters and a ring of NeoPixel lights connected to the front of the Canon SX50-HS lens. To assemble the device, users should follow these steps: this object prints well in my printrbot printer using 0.2mm layers; however, printing three versions with different diameters results in a perfect fit.
