Camera Desk Stand
thingiverse
This is a small stand that's perfect for taking close-up photos on a table. I use it to capture pics of 3D printed items, and it works great with PLA - it's nice and strong without needing too much hardware. I designed and built mine using materials I had lying around. To make this stand, you'll need: 2 x 1/4-20 UNC bolts that are 1" long for the main camera mount 2 x 1/4-20 UNC bolts that are 1.5" long for the two tilt mechanisms 3 x 1/4-20 UNC nuts 1 x 1/4-20 washer The photos should give you a good idea of how it all comes together. I used a 6.5mm drill bit to clean up the holes in the troughs. You'll need to print two small thumb wheels and one of everything else. Here are my printer settings: Printer brand: LulzBot Printer model: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25 Infill: 50% Notes: I used 50% infill so it would be nice and strong, and I printed mine in Rigid.Inks Trans Blue PLA. After printing: I used a 6.5mm drill bit to clean up the trough holes. How I designed this stand: I created the design in SolidWorks and exported it as an STL file.
