Updated model available for download ==================== Find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4165563/files This basic copy stand is designed for use with OpenBuilds V-slot C-beam extrusions. It's probably over-engineered, but printed versions can be extended 800mm away from the vertical pillar with minimal sagging. Print: - Inner shell (2) - Outer shell (2) - Wheels and other parts (2) A total of 2KG of PLA+ filament is used at documented print settings. Possible Incomplete BOM: - M8 x 75mm countersunk screws (12) - M8 x 75mm button head screws (4) - M8 x 35mm button head screws (4) - M8 nuts (20) - 608ZZ roller bearings (16) - 120mm arca-swiss clamp. Cheap eBay clamps have holes spaced 30mm apart, matching the arca-clamp end STL. Sketchup files are at 10x size to work around its circle resolution limitation. Printed version is 1.5m high with an arm length of 800mm. Terrible build instructions: - Inner and outer shells are screwed together at 90 degrees using 35mm screws. - Shells are secured at their corners by M8 x 75mm countersunk screws (4). - Each shell has fixed wheels, secured by M8 x 75mm countersunk screws (2). Use tall spacers for bearings. - Adjustable wheels on the opposite side require eccentric spacers and short spacers plus a single M8 nut. Ensure "open" side of wheels faces spacers or they won't spin freely. - Building is easiest when making one module first, then screwing second module's inner shell to matching inner shell at 90 degrees.
