This press-fit design requires an accurate print with flawless dimensions. If you're printing with precision, scaling adjustments within your slicing software may be necessary for a snug fit. For filaments that contract more significantly during the cooling process, such as ABS, a larger scaling factor will be required than for less shrink-prone materials like PLA. Typically, a 100.35% scaling adjustment works well for PLA prints, while ABS requires an even higher scaling factor of approximately 100.7% or more to achieve a secure fit. The optimal scaling factor also depends on how tightly you want the battery cover to fit around the contacts.
