I designed a battery to power the camera continuously. There is a downward DC-DC converter inside the battery and the battery contacts are connected to it (they can be made from PCB or can) and the lead from the power socket. A 12V 1-2A power supply is connected to the power socket. The battery case is closed with a lid, you do not need to glue the lid, everything keeps tight and well.
