This design doesn't work for the MK3, as it will not clear the linear rod.I've been undergoing a long project to convert my Geeetech A10 (basically an Ender 3 clone) to a Voron Switchwire. As part of the changes, I added a MK3 Y Carriage, but I wasn't happy with any of the off-the-shelf options for Y Axis camera mounts for the MK3. I designed this one with a few key differences to what I had found before:Attaches without any printer disassembly.Lightweight, simple print.GoPro-style mount for camera.Stiff enough to avoid camera wiggle. The arm stiffness could still use additional work (maybe I'll make a V2?), but I'm very pleased with what I landed on. I thought it might be helpful to others, so I've also included the STEP file so folks can more easily hack on the basic design. In order to use this, you'll need:M5 nutM5 bolt, 25mm or longerZip ties, 4.5mm or narrower and at least 50mm longTo install, zip tie it to the Y Carriage arm. There's a small peg which should assist in locating the correct placement (it will “fall” into place). Use with a lightweight camera on any GoPro-style mount. I'm using a PiCam plus a long ribbon cable. It's a bit of a cable mess, but it works very well.If you want to use the PiCam case and extension, you'll need:M3 nutM3 bolt, 20mm or longerFinally, please note that you should print in ABS, ASA, PETG, or another material which won't soften below 85C or so. Otherwise it'll sag the first time you print something with the bed at 100C. Ask me how I know. If you only print PLA, you'll probably be fine printing this in PLA, just be warned.
