I'm building a custom slotcar chassis for my GoPro Hero Session action cam. It's designed to work seamlessly with ball bearings and 2mm axles, which require a guide system. The motor I'm using is a Carrera Go or any other FF030 model. The gear ratio includes a 28-tooth spur gear with a 0.5mm pitch and an 8-tooth pinion also with a 0.5mm pitch. One of the pinions has a 1.5mm bore for the motor, while the other has a 2mm bore for the intermediate axle. I'm using ball bearings for all axles, specifically 5x2x2.5mm bearings that work well with both 2mm and 5mm axles. When it comes to the wheels, the front ones should have a maximum diameter of 11mm. However, if your camera holder is designed to handle larger wheels, you can use bigger ones without any issues. Conversely, the rear wheels require a minimum diameter of 16mm. If you're planning to use this chassis on tracks with elevation changes, I recommend checking out the CamChassis43s_V2 design for inspiration. Lastly, if you need a camera holder specifically designed for the 808#16 camera, take a look at the CamChassis43s_808 design.
