Camaro (mostly) license plate frame

I originally created this for a Chevrolet Super Sport pickup truck but then adapted the badging for my 2017 Camaro. The 50th anniversary model, not an "H50" special edition. The pieces will bond together easily using ABS cement or ABS juice assuming that you make it from ABS material. You can also smooth things out quite a lot using acetone vapor polishing if made from ABS plastic. I designed it in two halves so it fits onto smaller printer beds and can also be printed piece by piece if desired. As originally designed, the text/trim plates serve both as decorative elements and bonding strips to strengthen the assembly. The original clear-coated pickup truck version has been installed for over three years now and has held up perfectly in direct sunlight and harsh weather conditions. The Camaro version shown in the photos has held up for well over a year with no signs of hardening or cracking, also featuring VHT "wheel clear" UV-protectant paint. I find it easier to paint text and logos as insets rather than protrusions. A word of note - this frame will fit standard 6"x12" North American license plates snugly, so be careful and adjust your slicer settings to compensate for material shrinkage, particularly when using ABS filament. For example, I scaled the pieces at 1.02x with my printer and ABS filament. Yours may vary, so I suggest printing only a half with your settings to check the fit and then adjust as needed before printing everything else. Supports are only necessary on the frame halves if you print them outer-face-up. Personally, I flip them over so flat faces are against the print bed, eliminating the need for supports.
