Camaro Dual Cable Sealing Plug
thingiverse
This is a sealing plug for the 5th Generation (2010-2015) Chevrolet Camaro that allows running the dual wideband extension cables of the Innovate DLG1 into the cabin via a grommet hole located in the cavity with the cabin filter without risking the entry of water or dust or creatures. It uses a couple o rings to secure the halves together as well as seal against both faces of the firewall, however none are required for the cables because the jacket itself is what does the sealing. This of course will work with any ~20mm hole and cables that are ~7.5mm in diameter, but this was designed specifically with this car and gauge setup in mind. It technically shouldn't matter which plug half goes on which side of the hole, but I would imagine that it would be best to have the male plug on the exterior because of the much longer length of hole (20mm vs 5mm) that is clamping on the cable jacket as well as just having a longer distance to travel, theoretically making a more reliable seal. Note: 1) Does not require supports, but setting them to "normal" and "build plate only" will make them only support the screw chamfers and nut holes on the bottoms to give them a nice surface without trying to needlessly support the side o ring groves, saving time and plastic. 2) If you use the STLs remember you need to print 2 each, the 3MF has all 4 halves included already. 3) Feel free to modify and improve, F3D and STEP files included! Bill of materials: 1) m3x35 or 40 cap head screw x2 2) m3 nut x2 3) m3 washer x2 4) 6.8x10.6x1.9mm o ring x2 (010) 5) 22x28x3mm o ring x3 (211) 6) 20x26x3mm o ring x1 (210) *Numbers in parentheses are Harbor Freight metric o ring kit part numbers
