CAM Operated Variable Flow Oxygen Splitter with Detent Positioners
grabcad
Initially, I started working on a CAM Operated Variable Flow Oxygen Splitter but later abandoned it due to my discomfort with the deformation of Nasal Cannalis oxygen line made from material without memory. After acquiring a nasal cannula, I shifted to another process type. The new design features include a positive detent for secure positioning, interchangeable inlet/outlet cannula connections or ¼" NPT ones, a snap-in dial axle for easy assembly, and a pressure transfer plate to prevent linear stress on the oxygen tube. Despite only having time for an initial test prototype print, I made necessary corrections for a working model, such as changing printing orientation to reduce stress, increasing wall thickness, eliminating excess geometry, and improving aesthetics. However, more tests are needed for calibration before meeting deadlines.
