Cam lock towel holder

Cam lock towel holder

prusaprinters

My in-laws had some cam operated towel holders from around the 1970’s and could not locate replacements. The following OpenSCAD script generates a close approximation to the original. Printed with no support or rafts. To use this grip/holder you need to print the 3 parts (base and two lobes) assemble them by pushing the lobs onto the pegs in the base. There is a feature built into the lobe to retain them on the peg using a bump which locates in the grove at the top of the peg.Once assembled you put a sticky foam pad onto the back and attach to a wall. Ensure the lobes are not angled down and they should be facing each other. If they are pointing down then rotate the base 180 deg.
