Cam Cleats

These devices are perfect for sailing, boating, canoeing, and other activities that require securing items with ropes to cleats. They enable quick adjustments when needed, costing between $10-$20 online (plus shipping). All you need for this model are 1/8" nuts, bolts, washers, and screws. Note that these DIY cam cleats have not been thoroughly tested or printed yet, with a few known issues: 1) there's no spring action, so they rely on the rope's tension to lock; 2) two hands might be needed for operation; 3) they may not be as strong and durable as commercial cam cleats, so avoid using them in life-critical applications; 4) measurements for bolt cavities on the base aren't precise. These cam cleats are a fun experiment but could benefit from improvements.
