This is an uncomplicated cam cleat for holding ropes or elastic under stress. Utilized in pairs, the tension of the rope causes the cleat to shut more firmly. I engineered this for a catapult driven by surgical tubing. The cleat enables the tension on the tubing to be fine-tuned.
