Cam Cleat

Cam Cleat

thingiverse

This is a basic cam cleat designed to grip ropes or elastic securely when under tension. In a paired setup, the force of the rope on the cleats compels them to snap shut even tighter. I engineered this cam cleat for a catapult driven by surgical tubing, enabling users to fine-tune the tension within the tubing itself. Key Features To produce usable parts, print each cleat with sufficient infill strength for your project's requirements. These prints will be mirror-imaged so that the interlocking teeth engage securely, after which they are attached to a mounting surface via screws allowing them to rotate freely while preventing up and down movement.
