The bed is very tall at 80 cms high. The crown on top is not included in this measurement. The crown helps prevent the leg from coming loose, especially for those with wheels that are common in hotels. It's made up of two pieces held together by four M6x35 screws. You can use the inside hole to store small objects. It's a good idea to put felt on the part where it touches the floor so you don't scratch it and make it easier to move around.
