Calvin and Hobbes Snowmen Village (Collection)
thingiverse
IMPORTANT NOTICE! Bill Watterson, creator of Calvin and Hobbes, has expressed his disapproval of merchandising his artwork. Out of respect for him and his incredible work, please refrain from selling digital or physical copies of these creations. Thank you! This is a work in progress as I aim to complete a few more scenes. Still, Christmas is approaching, and I wanted to share this fun non-denominational holiday decoration with everyone. Full credit goes to my wonderful wife for the idea, while Bill Watterson and I modeled the figures. Important notes on printing: I've printed some parts on a DLP (resin) printer but all of them on an FDM printer. Simply dial in your printer for smaller parts and take your time gluing everything together afterwards. Oh, and be prepared to buy plenty of sandpaper! A note on the bowling ball: I found it easiest to print the head while it's nestled in the bowling ball holder, floating a few mm above. Depending on your software, automate or manually add supports and print slowly. I also suggest printing the bowling ball with very high infill and pins with low infill for maximum entertainment value. You can find a brief video of the bowling in action on Imgur: https://imgur.com/FyVeoEN I hope you enjoy these creations, and I look forward to adding more to the collection as I complete them.
