CalQRP Paddle

CalQRP Paddle

thingiverse

This paddle was created as a CalQRP club project. I designed and built several paddles, but encountered various issues that frustrated me. A Whiterook MK-44 was loaned to me, which I liked a lot, so I used it as the basis for my design. It helped me complete CW Academy Level 1 this past spring. The main features of my design include: Integrated arm support Self-aligning paddle arm channels Easy screw-together construction (though not necessary) This project has three parts to print: the top section, bottom section, and a cut/drill template for the arms. I printed 14 copies for the club build. We'll see how it goes. For the post, we're using 3/16" hex standoffs. I found some 0.165" self-clinching standoffs at a local surplus store that I prefer. They are probably from Captive Fastener and possibly part number CFS0440-18. See the PDF file for assembly instructions.
