Calorimeter
thingiverse
This calorimeter was carefully assembled to measure electrical energy generated from heat output. Further details are expected in June when a technical paper is published, as precise measurement method is crucial for maintaining accuracy within 2-6%. The exterior of the device is shielded with a car windshield reflector, designed to block external heat, while the base features a felt lining to minimize air leaks through heated wires. This component could be replaced with rubber, but would necessitate dedicated wire passages. Optimizing heating element placement at the bottom of the cup enhances accuracy, eliminating the need for a propeller in this configuration. A nichrome wire coil wrapped around an M10 bolt was used to create the heating element, and 10 ohm resistance fits perfectly within the cup. The thermometer hole measures precisely 6mm
