This pull chain, ball chain, pull string knob, handle, finial, fob is designed for use with standard #6 (3.2mm) ball chain and will also work with smaller chain as long as a #6 metal connector is used. These models require supports just for the wings making cleanup easy. To attach a standard #6 connector to the top of the print, simply feed the chain through the top and attach the connector to it. If using a ball chain and metal connector, you can form a loop around a keyring and hook with the other end of the connector. Alternatively, if no metal connector is available, you can print the BALL-CONNECTOR.stl file included. Note that printing the connector in PLA results in a tight fit. To install the connector, lay the chain on a hard surface, position the connector over the last ball of the chain and push down until it snaps into place. You may also use string with a large knot tied in the end. Typically, I print things with 10% infill but for use on a ceiling fan, you may want to use a higher infill for added weight.
