Caliper Radius Adapter

Caliper Radius Adapter

prusaprinters

A remix of sorrenaveria's model.  The depth probe on the calipers that I use is slightly off-center, resulting in a small measurement error.  So I made some adjustments to get the probe centered in between the legs of the adapter.  I also added some taper to the leg cross-section so that they don't flex quite as much.  Lastly, I added some internal corner relief to that the calipers will reliably fully seat at the proper depth.Since the caliper is no longer centered, that makes this adapter “handed”.  The text with the measurement range and the caliper “icon” should always be on the same side as the dial.  As you can see, my calipers are “old school”, so YMMV.There are two versions, one that goes out to 2" radius and one that goes to 3".  I print these flat on the bed using “organic” or “tree” supports. If your bed is not big enough laying flat, they can be successfully printed standing up (again  using “organic” or “tree” supports).  PLA is strong enough as long as you have at least 4 perimeters.  I have also included a 2" diameter “gage” disk so that you can easily check the accuracy of your print.
