Caliper Pen (Metric and Imperial)
thingiverse
A vernier caliper (metric and imperial) that disguises as a pen - or a pen that disguises as.... Either way, this will not replace your new $199 digital calipers but may come extremely handy when you quickly want to measure that diameter of a small tube, bolt, or thread... and is just a wonderful gimmick. It uses a standard Parker refill. There is no mechanism to retract the refill (which would require a spring and makes printing so much more difficult), so the refill is all you need in addition to the printed parts. Strictly speaking vernier is not entirely correct as I (deliberately) did not include a vernier scale, simply because the scale does not print well at this ... scale. This should be an easy print. Preferably print at rather high resolution (e.g. 0.12) with 50+% infill in PLA (or ABS, PETG...). You will need to enable support for PartA (for the tip). Hope you like it. Enjoy!
