Armorer's Calipers ================ Maximum Measurement: Up to 23 1/4 Inches. The arm measures approximately 330.2 millimeters by 177.5 millimeters by 5 millimeters in total size. The joint is constructed with a peg and through-hole designed for riveting, allowing flexibility if a threaded connection is preferred instead. To make modifications easier, I have included all necessary sources if you want to upgrade the connection to threaded. You can access these files: an SVG file built within Inkscape, DXF v14, OpenSCAD source code, and STL models. This is a prototype project - please note that the spring notches are mistakenly located in reverse order according to my initial test prints. For maximum measurement accuracy, smoothing out internal curves could increase the capacity by one additional inch. Future upgrades include implementing lead screws and nuts. **Additional Information** SVG drawing created with Inkscape 0.91: After completing the design I smoothed it using Ctrl+A followed by Extensions -> Modify Path -> Flatten Beziers @ 0.3, and saved it as DXF R14 format in mm units. OpenSCAD source was generated for rendering into STL models within version v2015.03. Due to file size, the STL has been separated when slicing, allowing individual printing of both parts.
