I decided that the occasional bump would send the holder tumbling off the shelf edge. Not only that, but reworking the clip over the edge of the shelf put a lot of stress on it, causing it to open up slightly - making it increasingly easy for the holder to get knocked off the shelf edge.\r\n\r\nAs a result, I knew a redesign was necessary. The original design was just a quick hack using FreeCAD. The new clip, however, was carefully designed in OpenSCAD and seamlessly integrated with the slotted section in FreeCAD.
