Caliper for steel rule
thingiverse
I created these models specifically for a ruler measuring 29x1 mm. A Parasolid file is available and can be easily resized to fit your specific ruler needs. The measurement begins at the zero point, so you won't need to add or subtract any extra length - simply measure both the external and internal dimensions with ease. The minimum measurement size required is 20 mm, while the maximum depends entirely on the length of your ruler. This caliper prints remarkably accurately when produced using a photopolymer 3D printer, such as the Anycubic Photon S model I personally used. However, some minor measurement errors can still occur, so this tool should be used for approximate measurements only. My own measurements have shown an error of around 0.5 mm, which is generally sufficient for most purposes.
