Caliper depth bridge (Mitutoyo 500-181-30 CD-15APX)

<p>I needed a depth measuring bridge for my Mitutoyo (500-181-30 CD-15APX) caliper. Because the original one is expensive I design my own.</p><p>There are a lot of bridges out there to print, but I wanted a design which is adjusting the caliper to the side automatically. This is achieved (as on the original part) by the cone on the thumb screw. I expect the cone to wear out after some use because the caliper is from metal. For now it suits me well.</p><p>Take a look on the images and the technical drawing for details on the assembly.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>BONUS: </strong>It fits in the caliper box :)</p><p><i><strong>I would be happy to see some of your makes posted :)</strong></i></p><h4><strong>Tips for use:</strong></h4><ul><li>The zero-offset on this bridge I was able to achieve is between 0,01-0,02mm. This can be compensated by zero-ing out the caliper on a flat surface.</li><li>I recommend to print the “large” screw because it is easier to turn. But a smaller screw model is provided.</li></ul><h4><strong>Print instructions:</strong></h4><ul><li>No supports</li><li>Part is mostly optimized for 0,3mm layers</li><li>Print with 4+ walls to give enough material for the threaded inserts</li></ul><h4><strong>Additional parts needed:</strong></h4><ul><li>2x M3 threaded insert (l=5,7mm d_out=4,6mm)<i>, short insert possible</i></li><li>1x M3x20 hex screw</li></ul><h4><strong>Assembly:</strong></h4><ul><li>Mould the inserts in the bridge part.</li><li>Mould the insert in the thumb screw part.</li><li>Remove excess plastic while it is soft.</li><li>Put the M3 screw tight in the thumb &nbsp;screw part.</li><li>Screw the thumb screw in the bridge.</li></ul><p>Source files in the Alibre Atom format is available but the website does not allow the upload.
