Update: 6/20/2019 Added tall ram base with optional 2-hole guide for BRASS - 17/32. This setup works perfectly for brass breech projects. The barrel is constructed from nested materials, featuring 1/2 copper, 19/32, and a section of 17/32 brass. The 17/32 ram inserts smoothly into the barrel, where it stops, marking the beginning of the 17/32 section in the barrel. This solution offers a quick and easy fix that preserves unchanged caliburn parts, as the barrel ends up with the same OD as Captain Slugs aluminum one. I'm using this on a hybrid mini Caliburn from 55Samba's designs. Caliburn O-Ring Ram with Tall Base The connecting bars to the ram were initially floppy and prone to misalignment, leading to failure after prolonged use. The mod features a taller base that enhances the connection to the bars by providing more contact area and support. While it's not a perfect solution, it significantly improves stability. However, this design does shorten the ram's travel slightly, but only by less than 5 MM at the end. It works great for me, although results may vary.
