Caliburn Brass Breech Parts
thingiverse
The two crucial components required to build a brass breech for your Caliburn are precision-made to fit snugly onto 9/16" brass, ensuring they remain securely in place throughout the entire process, necessitating thorough sanding to achieve this tight seal. To prevent vacuum loading and ensure smooth operation, insert a pin through the breech using the two holes on the ram that aren't utilized for priming components. This clever design enables you to create an efficient breech system. Currently working on a comprehensive tutorial, but the overall concept involves attaching one piece of 9/16" brass to the ram and surrounding the darts, allowing it to function as the sliding breech. Meanwhile, the muzzle holds the 9/16" brass firmly in place at the front, enabling the creation of a telescoping barrel using 17/32" brass, which serves as the breech's primary slide.
