Calibration tree
thingiverse
I've been modifying my CR10 by installing a dual gear extruder and volcano hotend, paired with my Mad Max V8 Interceptor mount that utilizes only the original small 4010 cooling fan. Initially, I questioned whether this cooling setup was sufficient for PLA prints, as it only blew air from one side. To assess its effectiveness, I created a calibration tree design featuring large overhangs and bridges to test all-around cooling. The results are in - it's not perfect yet, with some curling and ringing on the sharp edges, but this is the best outcome I've achieved with this setup so far. * CAUTION: If the print turns out well, be cautious of its pointed and sharp nature * I'm eager to see how it prints for all of you. If you decide to print this design, please share your results using the hashtag #calibrationtree on Twitter or other social media platforms. I'd love to see your outcomes, especially if you're using a volcano hotend and dual gear extruder setup. Any tips or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
