Here's a breakdown of HobbyHoarder's calibration squares, condensed into individual prints for single-axis testing. Simply reposition the squares in your slicer to match your chosen axis, then print each test separately. No need for complexity - just straightforward printing. The original source files I found printed four squares at once, which worked fine, but added unnecessary time and waste if you only needed one square per axis.
