Calibration geometry 100mm x 100mm
thingiverse
I've been using a calibration geometry with dimensions of 100 millimeters in the X direction and 100 millimeters in the Y direction. I found that calibrating my printer with a standard 20 by 20 millimeter calibration die was not precise enough, especially when it came to fitting tight battery covers. Even after calibration, the dimensions seemed spot on, but I still ended up with slightly oversized results. To improve the situation, I opted for a larger geometry with dimensions of 100 millimeters in both directions. This upgrade offers five times the calibration resolution of a standard die, resulting in better X and Y axis alignment. By maintaining other dimensions at factors of five millimeters, multiple measurements can be taken across different locations to achieve accurate averages.
