CALIBRATION DISC

CALIBRATION DISC

I got fed up with wasting hours printing calibration cubes, only to realize they're just calibrating the center of your build plate. Then you print something bigger and it turns into a big mess. I used this to adjust my end stops, and now I can see right away that I need to move the tower closer or further from the printed circle before wasting time. This shows me how out of calibration my build plate is quickly. After that, I suggest printing the disc with the 10x10 cube and using those measurements to adjust my delta radius before trying to print Benchy. I've found this method to be very fast and effective for calibrating quickly. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: RepRap Kossel Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2MM Infill: DOESN'T MATTER Custom Section I've updated my approach and found that it's best to print a calibration cube, then move on to a bigger job, only to realize your machine is struggling and not liking it, indicating that your mechanical measurements are wrong. Use this often, as mistakes are made on measurements, and it will really show when you try to print something bigger and it can't handle it. The more the nozzle moves out from the center of the bed, the more accurate the measurements need to be so your printer isn't smashing all your expensive hardware that needs replacing.
