Calibration cube

Calibration cube

thingiverse

I used this model to verify the calibration of my 3D printer. It should print a perfect cube if all X, Y, and Z-axis steppers are moving in precise relative step sizes. The walls should be perfectly straight, with uniform thickness throughout. The circle cutouts ensure that the relative spacing of Z-axis steps is correctly aligned with the other axes. Misconfigured Z steps will result in an oval shape. The circle also estimates the overhang angle for this material at the top, where the edge meets the printing plane nearly tangent to it.
