Human Calibration Model: A Simple Approach to Fine-Tune X, Y, and Z Axes Using Large Dimensions Beyond Standard 20mm Cubes This model enables users to adjust steps/mm for each stepper motor corresponding to an axis, allowing for precise calibration. Each axis measures a total length of 50mm with 10mm increments along the way. While measuring these increments may be challenging with standard digital calipers due to smaller tolerances, it is still achievable. To implement this model: Measure the x-axis (length_x_orig) and record the reference measurement (reference_value). Note down the stepper motor value for the x-axis (stepper_x_current). Apply the formula: stepper_x_new = (reference_value / length_x_orig) * stepper_x_current Example: length_x_orig = 4.978 cm reference_value = 5 cm stepper_x_current = 80 steps/mm stepper_x_new = (5 cm / 4.978 cm) * 80 steps/mm = 80.4 steps/mm Repeat this process for the y and z axes. Once done, apply the corrected stepper values to your printer settings. The next iteration of this calibration model should yield values close to the reference value(s), such as 50 mm.
