Calibration 20mm_OD 10mm_ID Cube
thingiverse
I calibrate critical components with ease, deliberately ensuring that outer sections remain a hair too small while interior areas sit comfortably at the cusp of being slightly oversized. This deliberate mismatch ensures seamless interplay between components. My 3D printer consistently pushes beyond model boundaries by about 0.1 millimeters or so. When combined with snug-fitting parts, this discrepancy can add up to significant errors. Fortunately, I discovered a vital setting within Slic3r under the advanced tab known as "XY Size Compensation." By inputting -0.16, I instruct my printer to shrink model dimensions and account for its inaccuracy. The best part is that both inner and outer measurements are now corrected, allowing my parts to align perfectly with precision.
