Calf Skull
myminifactory
The calf skull was meticulously scanned using a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner at Roanoke College on March 31, 2018, during an intensive workshop focused on 3-D printing and scanning techniques. The discolouration visible in the image does not originate from the skull itself but is instead a result of the interaction between the scanner's technology and the lighting conditions in the lab where it was scanned. Museum catalogue number 68568. This object is graciously provided by the Virginia Museum of Natural History, with appreciation for their contribution to the Virtual Curation Lab's scanning efforts.
