Calf Canyon is situated below the Escalante staircase, a north-south thoroughfare that traverses eastern central Utah. The vibrant layers of sandstone have been intricately folded, creating a sturdy backbone with breathtaking vistas and an array of exquisite canyons. Millions of years of exposure to the elements and relentless erosion have painstakingly revealed a kaleidoscope of colors and sinuous curves, devoid of straight lines and boasting endless gradations of tone.
