Caleb Widogast (Critical Role) belt buckle
thingiverse
I'm far from being the best modeler ever, and there are many people out there who can design things much better than me here, but since I couldn't find any files for this specific cosplay item, I ended up creating my own. Designing this model pushed my PC to its limits, and I had to fight the urge to toss it out the window several times due to some weird artifacts on the buckle portion, but thankfully everything printed properly with good slicer settings. This buckle is designed to be sanded down, primed, and cast in another material like resin so that a metal wire can be embedded into the back of the tongue. The wire will allow the tongue to securely grip onto the rest of the belt, making it a fully functional buckle. Check out the pictures for a better understanding. To fit 1.25" belts, I had to print the model at 116%. After that, I sanded down the print, primed it with spray primer, made a mold using Moldstar 20T, and cold cast it with Mehron metallic powder in Silver and Amazing Casting resin. Finally, I used acrylic paints for weathering. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! While I'm not too tech-savvy when it comes to modeling, I do have experience with molding and casting.
