Calderdale Portable (May 2017)
sketchfab
This portable rock was discovered in a fallen drystone wall in Calderdale, West Yorkshire. Panels of this size (37cm x 32cm) are typically found near cairns, but its location suggests it may have been deliberately broken or dressed for later use as building material. Eight irregularly shaped cup-like depressions of varying sizes can be seen on the uneven surface. The stone also shows signs of damage.
