Calculus tools: Disc and Shell Method visual aid
thingiverse
These discs are printed separately. To print the disc with supports, follow this process: first, print the discs individually, then attach a thin disc connecting all of them. This connecting disc can be easily broken apart after printing, allowing each shell to be used independently. When using these shells as visual aids, make sure to explain that they should not have holes in them, otherwise, it would resemble a washer method. The volume of the disc is often calculated using the shell method, which involves printing multiple thin discs together before breaking them apart.
