Calcite Vase No. 46 of 47 retrieved from the cache at Mleiha in Sharjah, UAE. The archaeological find was a joint effort by the Sharjah Archaeology Authority. Dating to the 2nd-3rd Century CE, this remarkable discovery has been meticulously documented with 259 photographs. Utilizing advanced technology in Reality Capture, the vase underwent an extensive processing stage, which included alignment, scaling, modeling, cleaning, simplification, unwrapping, texturing, and meshing. Joaquín Mª Córdoba's groundbreaking publication, La era de Mleiha: navegantes y caravanas antes del Islam, played a significant role in shedding light on the historical significance of this find. Specifically, Figure 92 on page 83-130 showcases the vase, highlighting its importance within the broader context of the region. In the recent exhibition "EN LOS CONFINES DE ORIENTE PRÓXIMO: El hallazgo moderno del país de Magán," hosted at the Museo Arqueológico Nacional from April 18 to May 29, 2016, the calcite vase took center stage. Curated by Joaquín Mª Córdoba Zoilo, with co-curators Cristina del Cerro Linares, María C. Pérez Díe, and Elena Pons Mellado, this showcase provided a unique opportunity for audiences to appreciate the historical richness of the region.
