A hexagonal-structured calcite crystal was scanned by Anh Tran in Dr. Franek Hasiuk's GeoFabLab, which is located within the Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences at Iowa State University. The specimen was unmarked, and the scan was conducted using a MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner set to "Dark" mode.
