I fashioned a cake pan clip with a defective latch by crafting a replacement using measurements from an intact counterpart. The initial prototype mirrored the original's dimensions, but its rigidity proved too great and it shattered upon insertion. I therefore opted to design a second clip that wouldn't require bending during setup.
