Cake container rotating nozzle head extruder V2 spool filament case protecter
thingiverse
By incorporating a rotatable ball V2, I aimed to maintain my filament's dryness using a round clear cake container, thus preventing it from becoming brittle. The filament can easily move from side to side when the print becomes larger or taller, like a round plug in a sink, and should stop moisture from entering. I placed a couple of silicone pillows inside the cake container for extra support. To complete the setup, I added a male cap connector to the end of the ball and a female cap moisture stop plug. The plug works flawlessly on both the ball and nozzle during printing. With this configuration, my flexible filament remains moisture and dust-free at all times. Print Settings: Printer: Cocoon Create Rafts: Yes Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 50% Notes: Supports and raft touch the build plate; as my extruder ball required a light sanding, it now clicks back into place smoothly after exiting from the front.
